Wild Turkeys In Doggy Kennel

OMG I was shocked yesterday when I went to clean up outside our dogs kennel low and behold there were wild turkeys all around, probably about 40 of them total.  Two of these little guys got stuck in Abby's kennel who is our black lab, she was totally shocked and they were scared.  My dh was sleeping and had to wake him up to get them out, they scared me to death.  I was more concerned about getting Abby to safety and in the house but she of course was overwhelmed with the excitement.  It turned out to be a very exciting day hopefully they will stay out of here now.

Today Grocery Shopping

Well not to much going on today but I have to go and get some groceries so hubby and I can eat.  We are going to also hopefully watch golf to see Tiger Woods win (I hope).  I'd also like to finish a quilt that I've been working on for my dh brother, just putting the binding on and off it will go.  I have another one to complete the borders on and then quilt it, bind it and send it off.  Hoping to have these both done by the end of September.  Got to start getting ready for Christmas presents, so much to do such little time.  Will post later if I do anything else today.

Hand Sewing Bag

I made this cute little bag to allow me to carry sewing supplies such as different threads, floss,needles and anything having to do with sewing here is a picture of one that I did.

This is the little bag all closed up.  It is just so very cute.  

Here it is all opened up.  That is a little pincushion in the middle for all those pins and needles.

Fabric Rope Rug

This is a current project I'm working on.  I took a class from a man that his grandmother used to make these rugs.  They are so much fun to make but time consuming I must say.

This is a wonderful project to use up strips the colors that you can combine is fabulous.  I'm going to be making an oblong one for our bathrooms.  Will post pictures when I finish.

Sewing Room Finally A Bit Organized

Well my sewing room is really very small so I have to try and improvise with the space.  I've been so depressed because I couldn't even get into my poor sewing room.  Here are some pictures of it now that it is almost done, still a little crowded but getting better.

This is my Bernina 640 Baby she is a wonderful machine just love her.  She sews so beautifully.

So hopefully this will help me want to sew because when my room is a mess just don't want to even go in there.  I have so many projects going and just so much stuff.
