One Christmas Stocking Completed

Here is the finished stocking for my oldest granddaughter, this is the first time I've tried anything like this and it was a bit of a challenge when I had to put the cuff on but I figured it out and am thrilled with the results.  This is my first project also using the Bernina CutWork Tool it did all the lettering and appliqued it.  I have become addicted to this tool and thanks to Bernina trainers I'm getting better using it.  I think what I will do on the other stockings is embroider them all first and then put them together seems like that might be faster.

Christmas Stocking

Well I'm going to try and make each one of my family Christmas Stockings this year with my new Bernina 830 machine.  Here is the first one it isn't completed but it is embroidered, cut out and sewn together.  Now I need to line it, and put a cuff with a name on it.  I'm going to try and use my new cutwork tool by Bernina and then applique so this will be an experience I'm sure.  It should be fun.  Will post another when it is completed.

Planning Thanksgiving 2010

Wow I'm so excited I'm going to have a traditional Thanksgiving for my 2 sons (oldest and middle one) along with 2 of my grandchildren.  Per my oldest granddaughter she requested a traditional Thanksgiving with all the fixings with a traditional Turkey.  We usually have everything but Turkey.  I've ordered a 16 lb. young hen and it is a fresh one.  I've ordered it from Cartwrights which is a quaint little store here in Grants Pass Oregon.  I used to work there and it is a great place.  I'll take pictures of our Thanksgiving and post them here to share.  Wish my other son and my wonderful daughter-in-law along with my youngest grandson could also be here but they are expecting my 4th grandchild which is a girl.  I will have a perfect set 2 of each I love them all too pieces.
