Ashtyn,s First Birthday Doll

This was so much fun to make.  The doll was made in the hoop which was so easy to do and fun.  I then made her outfit using my own pattern....I just think she came out so cute.  This will be for my youngest granddaughters first birthday which is January 20th 2012.

My Sisters Log Cabin Quilt

Wow finally finished this quilt Christmas of 2011.  Again this was waiting to be quilted for 2 years....boy I have already finished 2 quilts using my new set-up.  For this quilt I used the pattern called cur lies, my sister said it was perfect.  She has a full sized bed so I made this one 75 x 97 she wanted it to hang more on the top and bottom.  She is now making pillows and pillow shams to go with it.  I am so glad she loved it.

Kevin's Log Cabin Quilt

Wow this finally got finished.  I started this quilt 2 Christmases ago.  Never thought I'd get it done, but I am so pleased how it turned out.  I was made for my oldest son for Christmas this year.  The hard part of this quilt was first of all the size is 96 x 96 so it was pretty big.  I have a great set-up now using my Bernina 830 with the Bernina frame and Quilt Motion which is made by QuiltCad which I truly love.  On this quilt I used the Hibicus Pattern and my son seemed to really love it.

Aprons For Christmas 2011

The green apron with a coffee theme is the apron I made for my daughter-in-law for Christmas 2011.  The pink one has cupcakes and the yoke has sprinkles this one I made for my sister for Christmas.  The pattern was so cute there are no ties or velcro required I just fell in love with the pattern.  I am really not an apron person but I am now going to make myself one because I loved it so much.

Mylar Designed Levis

Here is a picture of my levis I just embroidered.  The designs are absolutely gorgeous.  These are the ones digitized by Mary Reese at this location http://www.oregonpatchworks.com/collections.php?id=RRD she is a fabulous digitizer and her designs are gorgeous.  These were made to use with Mylar, Angelina, Organza and anything else you might want to try.  I had never worked with Mylar and also had never embroidered on Levis, but I did and loved the outcome.  Here is a picture of them. I also used my beautiful Bernina 830 with the large hoop so I know that made doing these really easy.  Now I'm going to make a matching top and I might put a bit of bling on the pants and top.  Will post a picture of the top after I complete it.  Thanks again Mary can't wait for the next set.

Kyle's Christmas Stocking

This is the stocking I have completed for my oldest grandson.  Hope he likes it.  To do the lettering I used the Bernina Cutwork tool and I just loved it, I'm still learning how to use it but it is starting to come together.  I have to get the packages mailed to my grandkids that live in Henderson Nevada so I'm at least finished with their stuff.  One more stocking to do and then I'm going to do each one of my kids a stocking also even though they are all grown up who cares....lol. I didn't sew when they were growing up because I always had to work so now I'm making up for it.

One Christmas Stocking Completed

Here is the finished stocking for my oldest granddaughter, this is the first time I've tried anything like this and it was a bit of a challenge when I had to put the cuff on but I figured it out and am thrilled with the results.  This is my first project also using the Bernina CutWork Tool it did all the lettering and appliqued it.  I have become addicted to this tool and thanks to Bernina trainers I'm getting better using it.  I think what I will do on the other stockings is embroider them all first and then put them together seems like that might be faster.

Christmas Stocking

Well I'm going to try and make each one of my family Christmas Stockings this year with my new Bernina 830 machine.  Here is the first one it isn't completed but it is embroidered, cut out and sewn together.  Now I need to line it, and put a cuff with a name on it.  I'm going to try and use my new cutwork tool by Bernina and then applique so this will be an experience I'm sure.  It should be fun.  Will post another when it is completed.

Planning Thanksgiving 2010

Wow I'm so excited I'm going to have a traditional Thanksgiving for my 2 sons (oldest and middle one) along with 2 of my grandchildren.  Per my oldest granddaughter she requested a traditional Thanksgiving with all the fixings with a traditional Turkey.  We usually have everything but Turkey.  I've ordered a 16 lb. young hen and it is a fresh one.  I've ordered it from Cartwrights which is a quaint little store here in Grants Pass Oregon.  I used to work there and it is a great place.  I'll take pictures of our Thanksgiving and post them here to share.  Wish my other son and my wonderful daughter-in-law along with my youngest grandson could also be here but they are expecting my 4th grandchild which is a girl.  I will have a perfect set 2 of each I love them all too pieces.
