Grandkids Left Today

Well we had a great thanksgiving even though on Thanksgiving day we lost our power for about 4 hours and then believe it or not my modem for dsl went out.  In my opinion God definitely works in mysterious ways because my oldest son continues to work definitely to much so without internet service he had to rest.  Thanksgiving evening he took a 4 hour nap that was definitely needed.  So it all worked out good.

Preston's Pirate Quilt Christmas 2009

I just finished quilting my youngest grandsons Christmas 2009 present which is a pirate quilt. I used varigated thread and I just love the colors.  I didn't do anything fancy but love the swirls.  The back of the quilt is pirates on a black background it is really cute.

2ND Block of the Month 2009

I ended up just loving this quilt.  This is without the borders which we will do this next month then it will be ready for quilting.  I really loved the colors of this one.  It is really funny because this is a mystery quilt and I've been doing BOM for the last 4 years and every time I hate the quilt at the beginning until we finally put it together and viola it comes together beautifully.

Block of the Month Without Borders

I finally finished the entire top putting it together this was a challenge.  Everything was on point so you have to put it together diagonally so that was something different.  Then I had to add the triangles and put it all together.  I really ended up loving the colors of the quilt.  Next month we will put our borders on and then just quilt it.

2009 Block Of The Month

This is my block of the month that I attend every month at our quilt store in town.  I really loved the way this is coming together.  At the beginning I absolutely thought I'd hate it but it is really beautiful.  I have half of it sewed together and then next month we will put the borders on.  This top still needs to be trimmed and then I'll be ready.

Cheryl's Quilt With 2 Borders

This is my sisters quilt for her birthday and Christmas.  I just finished putting on 2 borders and the last border will go on tomorrow.

Well this is another Christmas present almost ready, just need to put it on my quilt frame and it is only November.

Sisters Finished Top For Christmas & Birthday

This is the quilt top that I just finished today without the borders.  The total size of this quilt will be 103 x 116 it is for her double bed.  I think it turned out really pretty.

Finished Flower Art Wall Hanging

Well I finally finished this for my girlfriend for her birthday which is November 11....thank goodness it is done.  I had so much fun doing this just loved it.

Half Way Done

Well I am about 1/2 way done with my thread painting then to square it up and put binding on hopefully will have it done by Friday.  My girlfriends birthday is November 11th so not to many days left.  Here is a picture of how far I've come today.

First Fabulous Fusible Flower

This is really so much fun it is called fusible flowers by Melinda Bula.  Then after it is all put together you will now thread paint.  At first I was really scared to do this but it looks like it is coming out ok.  Here are a few pictures of how it has looked through the progression.
